In 2013 Karolyn was delighted to be one of four designers shortlisted in the national competition run by The Society of Garden Designers to design Raymond Blanc’s National Heritage Garden at le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons in Great Milton, Oxfordshire.

Presenting to the judges at Le Manoir, including Raymond Blanc, Karolyn’s concept for the garden ‘Connection and Revelation’ drew inspiration from the physicality of adjacent garden areas, resulting in a contemporary geometric matrix and a harmonisation of aesthetics – nature and garden - where seeds, soil, nature and beauty are all revealed.

Features included a habitat house gazebo entrance, a half apple cold cast bronze sculpture by David Watkinson, dry stone walls, willow woven linear baskets and a frog pond.
