With an inherited garden including two free-standing walls obscuring the view of the garden from the house, we were delighted when the clients agreed to take the plunge and remove them. The brief included re-modeling the upper terrace once the walls were gone and the creation of a new lower terrace for enjoying the evening sun. The existing 'font' style water feature was to be re-used to form a focal point at the bottom of the garden, and now doubles up as a rather grand bird bath!
The design also includes a new curvaceous lawn and generous borders with colourful planting creating seasonal interest. Underpinned by a strong structural planting design the garden looks good all year round and we are delighted to keep it looking its very best via an on-going maintenance contract.
