This new build bungalow carried with it a small terrace area, scrappy lawn and narrow uninspiring borders. With a family grown up and largely flown the nest, these returning clients now moved to a turnkey property were happy to go with a concept that did not include a lawn area.
The trellis panels separated the terrace from a small retained area of lawn, raised kitchen garden beds and a home office building, and defined the various garden spaces. A sizeable planting area gave us ample opportunity to create a colourful, seasonal scheme where perennials move around at will while structural plants create static focal points that look good whatever the season.
